Artist’s Statement:

My art is shaped by a love of the artmaking process. The joy of mixing a new color palette; of gluing down another layer; of sewing on another bead; it all shows through in the final product. In contrast, when I am coming up with ideas for my work I often take inspiration from my anxieties, nightmares, and unease. I think it’s that balance – taking these internal and uneasy concepts and expressing them with an optimistic excitement that creates a whimsy and otherworldliness that I aim for.
